The strategic agenda that EU leaders adopted at their summit in Brussels of Thursday includes such issues as strengthening the single market, migration and a just ecological transformation, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Friday.

The strategic agenda comprises guidelines for the EU's top institutions, including the European Commission, for the next five years.

"In this agenda we have included issues that are crucial for Poland. Our contribution to this agenda was one of the most detailed among all member states," the prime minister told reporters.

The agenda mentions strengthening the single market, with particular stress on the freedom of services. "This is to ensure that our transport and construction companies are no longer discriminated against," Morawiecki said.

The document also speaks of a "just ecological transformation," according to Morawiecki. "First we want to see very detailed solutions before we accept additional climate goals," he said.

The agenda also focuses on migration issues and says that "there must be a consensus of all the countries to make any change," Morawiecki went on to say, adding that "there must not be any forced relocation."

The document also discusses "the issue of industrial policy balance and development," he said. "These subjects are extremely important from the point of view of economic growth, Morawiecki said, adding that Poland was particularly concerned about supporting the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises.
